Corporate Support Officer (Upper Changi Road)

Job Title: Corporate Support Officer (1 position)
Duration: 4 months (Sep - Dec 09) – probationary period
with an option to extend for another 2 years (Jan 2010 – Dec 2011)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.00 am to 4.00 pm (including half-hour lunch)

I) Requirements

Candidate must:
• be Singapore citizen;
• possess drive, initiative and committed to promoting organisational excellence;
• possess minimum GCE O-Level qualification and equipped with IT skills;
• be able to communicate in English and Chinese (to liaise with PRC scholars);

The duties of the Clerical Officer are classified into 4 categories as follows:-

a) Administrative

• To check stock and raise purchase orders and school supply orders;
• To keep track of the scheduled dates of servicing of all office equipment;
• To complete the standard Agreement Forms for Tuckshop Vendors and process fresh applications;
• To type general correspondence to HQ, outside organisations and parents, etc and

b) Financial

• To collect School and Supplementary fees, tuckshop rentals, bookshop commission, etc and prepare/issue all receipts;
• To prepare the Revenue Cash Book and Banking Slips;
• To collect Examination fees, Aptitude Test fees, GCE fees, magazine fees, advertisement charges, monies from sales of articles, etc (for the clerk in a secondary school only);
• To assist in the processing of audit queries;

c) Personnel

• To take charge of the registration of Relief Teachers;
• To maintain the Attendance Register and Leave Records on teaching and executive and admin staff;
• To assist in the preparation of duty and leave rosters for the executive and admin staff;
• To maintain records on transfers of staff and students;

d) General
• To record in-coming, out-going mails, re-direct mails to staff;
• To attend to telephone enquiries; and
• To perform any other clerical duties as and when assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principal and Heads of Department.
